George Stephenson is the Theatrical Sales Assistant at Trafalgar
As Theatrical Sales Assistant, I assist the rest of the sales team with bookings and any other queries that come up, whilst also communicating and booking with cinemas myself.

George's story
During the common period of teenage years when you wonder what you’re going to do end up doing with your life, I suddenly had the idea that I should be working in an industry I’ve always loved. I knew I needed to study film and learn as much as I could about this industry. After completing a Film Studies undergrad, where I learned to come up with numerous metaphors and meaning that may or may not have been intentional, I took a leap and started a Film Marketing and Distribution course. Through script coverages and coming up with release strategies for films, I was fascinated by the complexity of all of the different cogs in the machine that is film. Here I took a particular interest in sales, and with a couple film festival internships on my belt, I finally got a job at the forefront of film, the cinema! Working at Picturehouse Central for a year, with a particular focus on the helping manage events there, I finally got to see the behind the scenes of a cinema firsthand. This all then led to Trafalgar, where I now work on building and maintaining those relationships with cinemas.
To get to be a part of so many extraordinary experiences for audiences always feels like a privilege, and I’m particularly proud so far of working on Hans Zimmer & Friends: Diamond in the Desert, playing a role in putting my favourite musician’s concert film on the big screen and reaching those audiences feels like a privilege (and I’ll never complain at hearing the Pirates of the Carribean score on the big screen).
