Rodolfo Amaral is the Marketing Assistant at Trafalgar
I am responsible for assisting the full team across a wide range of administrative and marketing tasks such as handling ticketing briefs, sending press releases, managing our assets box and website, and creating campaign highlights.
Going to the cinema has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. The excitement of being in a dark room and the shared experience thrills me immensely. It wasn’t obvious to me at first that I could combine my passion and work to have a career in entertainment.
My career in the cinema industry started working as a customer service assistant at a four-screen cinema in London, where I quickly moved up and became a manager. I helped run the cinema’s daily operations, such as working the projection room, handling customer queries and complaints, and administrating the cinema staff. I was also in charge of all things marketing to promote the cinema and new releases using social media, in-house marketing activities, newsletters, press releases and building up effective relationships with other businesses and the community to maximise box office results.
Being at a cinema everyday helped me to become familiar with the type of customer that attends event cinema and what they are looking for in the big screen experience. I am very happy to be part of the Trafalgar Releasing team and help deliver exciting concerts, documentaries, plays and more, to audiences across the world, giving them a special and memorable night out.
In my free time, if not in a cinema auditorium, I will be out for a run in one of London’s beautiful parks, seeing a play or musical, catching some live music, exploring different cuisines, planning my next trip or tasting craft beers at independent breweries.
